Way to license files to use at home?

Hi, Qlikviewers-

I have a Qlikview developer's license at work and a personal free version at home.

Is there a way for me to use the files from work on my home version?

Thanks!

Take laptop with licensed version to home.

I do not think there is another way.

Hi Camilla!

You would have to have a separate license key for your home version, as each license can only be applied to one installation.

With your licensed version at work you could open files created using the free edition, but this doesn’t work the other way around.

Thanks, Robert and Hailey. I figured that was the case, but was hoping for a miracle!

A single Named User CAL can be used on 2 different bits of hardware, with them authenticating with the same AD User.

So if you VPN into work you should be able to lease a licence.   And as it is a lease it should work after you disconnect the VPN, for 28 days beforem you need to refresh the lease.

All the above obviously depends on your site's firewalling & security, but it has worked for me in the past.
