What is the best way to represent a time chart

Hi All,

I have a set of events which occur in some interval, the data can be visually represented as below:

05:00 5:25 6:00 6:30 9:00 9:47

|-----------------|-------------|--------------|-------------|---------|

A B C D E F

These events are for one case, I can have multiple cases in the same data set. What is the best way to represent this data in Qlikview? I am thinking of a stacked bar chart as implemented in my example qvw (pls see attached).

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Amit

If you format your X axis as in interval instead of as a number, it will be clear that the data is not displaying like you want it to display. Each time is additive because of the stacked bars. So while case C1 event A shows as 1 hour, case C1 event B should be another 25 minutes, but instead is an hour and 25 minutes, which is added to the first hour to get two hours and 25 minutes total.

Attached is an alternate way to show the data that also fixes the problem.
