Does anyone have any good ideas on how to build a complete
ancestor/descendant hierarchy from a id/parent-id table
Let me illustrate - below is the treestructure data:
NodeID ParentID Sign
--------------------------
5 NULL +
4 5 +
3 5 -
2 3 +
1 3 +
This is the output that i want from the ancestor query:
5 = 4-2-1
3=2+1

Any help on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.
