divide a day into 3 slots in qlikview

hi,

I had a 24 hours data starting from 20/10/2013 12:00 AM to 21/10/2013 12:AM

Now i need to split this into 3 slots

• 9 AM to 6 PM

• 6 PM to 12AM

• 12 AMto  9 AM

Please help me how to acheive this.

I would use

If(Frac(time)>9/24 and Frac(time)<=18/24,'9AM-6PM',

  If(Frac(time)>18/24 and Frac(time)<=24/24,'6PM-12AM',

  '12AM-9AM')) as Shift
