peculiarities of a pivot table

Hi,

In a pivot table there's a nice functionality which allows to display nulls and missing differently. Null is displayed as nulls, and missing is displayed as '-'. In my model a null budget and an absent budget are two differnet things. So, I'm using the functionality.

If I select some brands in the list-box and display them in a cross-table, nulls and missings are displayed correctly.

But there is an exception. There's a functionality in my application which allows to clear all current selections and display Top-10 brands in a pivot table by the means of a set expression.

sum({$<Brands={"=rank(sum({$<Brands=>} [Cost] ))<=10"}>}, Brands)

And then QlikView displays actual nulls and missings wrong.

Can you advise something to fix it?

Thank you in advance,

Larisa

Can you specify what you mean with 'QlikView displays actual nulls and missings wrong'?

I think it would be best if you could upload a small sample QVW that demonstrates your issue.

I've made a small sample and found out where the problem was.
