Is there a way to remove or customize the borders on a chart? Specifically, I want to hide the border that runs directly under the caption but still retain the border around the perimeter of the chart. I believe I've seen someone else do this on these forums but never new how to do it.
Also, I just came across the SHIFT+CONTROL trick to move around the plot area and legends in a chart. I don' t think this feature is documented anywhere but I find it very useful! Any other such tricks to modify the look of charts or tables?
Thanks!
Tom
Hi Tom
You "might" be able to do this (as you can tell, I've not tested it) by right clicking when hovering over the coption and selection Custom Format Cell, it should then give you the option to change top, left, right & bottom borders.

Hi Nigel,
No such luck with that idea on charts...it gives me greater flexibility when I try that on tables but I haven't seen any such option when working with bar or line charts. Any other ideas?
Thanks for your help!
Tom
Do you guys know how to add borders to a chart?
