So if you could help great has it perhaps to do with the

User preference and document properties

I had a similar problem like this before. I was able to check/ uncheck the boxes but they would always return to the previous state.

In my case, I solved it when I upgraded my QV Version. Which one are you using?

Hi Chriz,  Even I had a similar problem when QV version 9 file was opened in version 10 and saved.  It shows this behaviour.    Regards, Raghav

Hi Chrisz,

just tested (un-)checking of the user's privs in security tab with QV10 SR4. Problem is Still remaining.

Since QV1 this works fine.
