what is Load Runner ? how is it used ?

Hi all,

I want to test our new server performances with Load Runner  .i've looked throw internet but i didn't found a step by step tutorials on this subject .

Is there someone who can explain me the aim of load runner ? how can i use it ? what can it do for me ?what is the difference with Jmeter?

any other ideas or suggestions are welcom .

But all of these docs are about Jmeter while i'm interested in Load Runner (May be a benchamrk betwwen the two solution ).
