pie chart and legend / label

Hello,

I have to use pie chart in qlikview but due to the legend, my pie chart is too small. what I want is to use labels as in excel in order to clear the legend and to put labels in each category (see my excel spreadsheet for detail).

regards

One approach is to just add a second expression for the category and show the text on the data point, as in the attached. There may be a better way.

thanks for your answer but unfortumately, the legend settings only allow you to locate the legend on the left, right, up or down, but nothing directly in the chart.

If you use the control + shift keys on the graph, you should be able to move your legend inside the graph. That way you will be able to extend your graph.

Found this posting, but wanted to do a follow-up question. When doing this methodology (which works great, by the way), how do one handle "the rest" of the data that would normally be lumped under: "Others?"

How would I change the expression on this to reflect this?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Currently you can only show up to 50(max) slices in a pie chart.

And in your case if its less than 50, but still they are grouped into "Others" then you can try

changing the resolution in the presentation tab.

Right Click->Properties->Presentation->Lower Limit on Slice Area-> You can minimise it up to 0.001 limit.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
