Solution for Export to excel macro in Edge browser or Google Chrome

Hi All...

Earlier we are using 'Export to Excel' Macro in IE, but now our clients switched their browser IE to Edge and Google chrome.

So any one has any idea about how to execute 'Export to Excel' Macro in Edge Browser or Google chrome.

I have Jscript and Vbscript for Export to excel macro , but it is not working in Edge.

Where you using the IE plug-in when you used Internet Explorer? There are differences between Ajax and the plug-in. Most Macros does not work in Ajax, See below for differences.

Starting from QlikView April 2021 SR3 (12.50 SR3) you can use the plug-in in Edge. See

Hi @Poojitha6,

QlikView version April 2019 is long past its supported end date, so your path forward here is to upgrade to either version May 2021 or May 2022 and configure Edge to run in IE Mode as described in the article that Maria provided: User Plug-in in Edge
