UPDATE 2013-03-23
It's great to see the support from the community around mapping! This thread has been great to follow and lots of fun contributions has been added.
It has however become quite crowded with different versions being discussed and it's hard to find any useful information anymore.
So I have decided to kill off this thread and at the same time I have updated the extensions and split them into 3 parts with each extension having it's own thread.
Hopefully this will make it a bit easier to find information, ask questions and share new implementions of the extension between each other.

Google Maps - Marker

Google Maps - Heatmap (New!)

If there is interest for a more collaborative development let me know and I will host the extensions up on Git.

Hi,
For now, the script does not seem to work.
I'm probably doing something wrong.
I'll find out later.
THX Dirk
Hi,

Next question:
How can i adapt the script so that after selecting a WP the map automaticaly centers on that WP and automaticaly zoom's in?
Next, i wan't to further zoom in each time i clic on the WP-icon in the map?
Anyone?
THX.

I do not know if I've found a limitation, but I've seen that I can only plot 9999 points, will be something of componente.qar? is there any way I can plot more?
Hi Carlos,
If you open up the definition.xml file you will find "PageHeight="10000"".
This controls how many rows of data, i.e number of markers, that is exposed to the extension.
Change this to suit your data
Hello Alexander,
I'm using the extension you created, but when I try to plot a number greater than 11,000 points on the map, returns the following errors:
After the two errors are shown, the map does not update.
Have increased the PageHeigth and keeps giving the same error.
Have you seen this error before?
Thank you.

Hmm that seems strange. I did a small test and were able to plot 13k markers without any problem.
It could of course be a bug in the marker cluster library but just in case, make sure you trim and replace any colon with a dot in your latitude and longitude fields.
Hi Alexander,
I try to build an extension object for OpenStreetMaps based on your nice Google Maps extension using the CloudMade Web Maps API. It's working fine except I get no refresh if I select outside in the listbox. What is the trick here?
Best,
Ralf
I think now I got it. It's working..
Hi Alexander.
First of all let me thank you for that amazing extension
However, I have been facing some problems using it and I need some help to try to make it work well.
So, I'm running QV 10 SR2 Personal Edition (I tried in QV 11, too...) and I can't make this work. Well, I followed a video tutorial from qliktech (youtube) to install and test the extension and everything seemed to go well. I can see the map, i can zoom in and zoom out and so on but only when I insert the map into the sheet. However, when I try to put the latitude and longitude on the extension properties and reload the script, the QV crashes during the reload and I have to kill the process...
Do you have any idea how to resolve that problem?
P.S. - I don't know nothing about the AJAX-plugin. Could this be the problem?
I would apreciate some help from all of the experts
