Introduction
This is a QlikView extension object that integrates Google Maps Javascript API V3 and a third party library called MarkerClusterPlus into QlikView.
Load a set a coordinates into QlikView and visualize them together with this extension. The clustering feature is create when you have alot of data points and needs to group/cluster them together for greater visability and performance.
The maxzoom property defines at what zoom level you want your markers clustered. The grid size property controls how big or small cluster grid size you want.
You can either use the extension 'as is' or use it as a base to further customize it to fit your needs.

There has been numerous upgrades to the extension.
Now clusters now display the value of your expression and with added support to include more information in pop-up labels.
Example grayscale styled map included.
Possibility to show only a single cluster icon style if you do not want it to scale according to the number of markers in the cluster.

Added custom marker support. Now you can specify a url for an custom marker. Accepts all major image file types.
Which version of IE do you have installed? IE9+ should work and I heard reports of people getting it to work with IE8 also.
I have IE8, and I can`t update it, cause I use windows xp.
Hi Alexander,
I have a problem with the clusters, who doesn't get visualised on the map (red-yellow-blue).
I only get a number without the cluster background (red-yellow-blue).
When I zoom in or click on the number, I can see every single marker, so it's just the cluster picture that doesn't get visualised?
When I check the same file on a different PC, it just works perfect.
My PC has IE9.0.8112.16421 updates: 9.0.5
and QV 11.0.11440.0 SR2 64bit
The other PC without this problem
has IE9.0.8112.16421 updates: 9.0.2
and QV 11.0.11487.0 SR2 64bit
Even when I download the HR via the demo link Qlik Demos: See QlikView in Action | Demo.Qlik.Com
I can't see the clusters when I open the file locally. Does this mean the extension doesn't work with QV 11.0.11440.0 SR2 64 bit?
___________
UPDATE: I installed QV 11.0.11487.0 SR2 64bit on my computer and my problem is solved.
First I thought it would be a problem with IE as I couldn't see the cluster pictures on the accesspoint via my computer. It seems that also the QV version installed on your computer can cause bugs...
Ah, yes QV11 SR2 had a bug in it causing most, if not all, extensions to fail.
This looks great. And Thanks !
Can you please epxlain how the buckets of 0-10,10-100,100+ people work, so that I can customize this part for my own data set.
Looks great..... Thanks
Very Good.
Hi Alexander.
The extension works for me, but I am seeing pins instead of the clusters for most of my data points.
How can I replace the pins with the clusters? Also, how could I set the color of the clusters based on the counts?
Thanks very much for the help.
Hi everyone,
I just don't get it. I downloaded the file, and installed the extension but all I'm getting is unknown charttype. I tried to remove it and put it again as someone suggested, and all I get is "Stack Overflow at line 24".
There is no step by step method on the community that show how to install this version of google maps, only the static version I don't like.
I use QLikview 11, IE 8 and windows 7 64 bits.
Thanks in advance,
T.
