Creating Power Point Reports

Hi,

We currently have a user creating PowerPoint slides by taking screenshots from various dashboards. Is there a way to automate this process in Qlik?

Thank you

Hi,

There are several ways to automate PowerPoint report creation from Qlik dashboards instead of manual screenshots. Here are the best options:

1. Qlik NPrinting
  • NPrinting has excellent PowerPoint template support.
  • You can create professional, branded PowerPoint reports with:
    • Qlik charts/images (updated automatically)
    • Text, tables, variables, and multi-page layouts
  • Supports On-Demand generation and scheduled distribution.
  • This is the most mature solution for pixel-perfect PowerPoint reports.
2. Qlik Application Automation
  • You can build an automation that:
    • Applies selections
    • Exports charts as images
    • Uses Microsoft PowerPoint actions (via Office 365 connector) to populate slides
  • More flexible but requires more development effort.
3. Qlik Cloud Reports
  • Qlik Cloud has built-in reporting features that can export to PDF. While native PowerPoint export is still limited, many users combine it with Automations.
Recommendation:

If you need high-quality, repeatable, and maintainable PowerPoint reports, I strongly recommend Qlik NPrinting. It’s designed exactly for this use case and will save your user dozens of hours per month.

dear all,

in addition to @steveshaw

in Qlik Analytics Cloud there is the possibility to use Tabular reporting not only for Excel, but now also for Word & PowerPoint.

However you have the limitation, that you cannot add charts from differernt apps like NPrinting.

Maybe Mail & Deploy could handle this or we have to wait until Andrew Kruger and his team make this possible 😉
