Found an issue when a cell of a Straight Table object is larger than 32.767 characters.
I identified two different behaviors in Qlik Cloud and On-Premise:
- In Qlik Cloud the export dialog only show a message that something went wrong and ask to try again.
- In Qlik On-Premise the export file is generated but the cells with content larger than 32.767 are null.
Issue is the same for Native Straight Table and the New Straight Table extension.
If truncating the content to a length lower or equal to 32.767 , the export file is generated correctly.
As side note, the limit is imposed by Excel file format according this documentation
Maybe the export process can just truncate the content automatically.
Hello @PabloLabbeImaps
Here are two suggested paths forward:
Support case creation:
Please create two separate support cases for
- In Qlik Cloud the export dialog only show a message that something went wrong and ask to try again.
and
- In Qlik On-Premise the export file is generated but the cells with content larger than 32.767 are null.
Better error reporting on these would be useful.
Feature requests:
Or you may prefer to make those points as feature requests to improve the error reporting here:
Kind regards..
