Hi All,
Is there an Data Lineage tool available in qliksense like the one available in qlikview?
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/governance-dashboard/Content/QV_GovDashboard/Data-Lineage.htm
Thanks
Hello @jpjust, do you mean this option? In Qlik Sense this option is available within Qlik Catalog: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/catalog/February2021/Content/QlikCatalog/Catalog/Lineage.htm
Thanks for the link.
Well, I am looking for an app that can show references to source(s) of an app and other details such as below.
The app can consume multiple qvd's , databases, flat file, other sources ... lineage / data governance app should be able to tell the source path / name of the qvd's
It should also tell whether the qvd's are used or not etc.,
Qlikview has the governance / lineage tool... not sure of sense has the same. I am looking for some thing like that...
Thanks
Hello,
As far as I know the native Qlik Sense apps don’t provide this capability.
However I have just found this governance dashboard for Qlik Sense that seems to cover your use case. You may want to give it a try:

Hope this helps!
Thanks Bastien. That looks promising... Will take a look.
Hello @jpjust!
Was just curious to know if you have had a chance to test the application and if it matches your use case?
Thanks!
Hi Bastien,
Thanks for checking in. I have a plan to check this out next week.
Thanks
Qlik partner NodeGraph has an amazing lineage product. https://www.nodegraph.se/
It allows you to walk in either direction. This illustration shows a Measure that I have and walks back to where it comes from. As in all the way back to the source system in SAP, then through Qlik Replicate, through Qlik Compose, through typical Qlik model of extracting raw data, denormalizing it, and then reading it. The image shows 2 of the 3 different raw fields that are used in the measure, and a 3rd is just not in my visual because I couldn't scroll far enough to get all 3 in 1 shot.
Going the other way is for understanding implications of changes. If I change this field in my source, edw, etc what applications will I need to touch, what variables, what measures, what charts, what expressions the whole dealio.
