Setting up Production and Development server

Dear Community,

We have an subscription model and as of such an production and development server is included. Now we set up an Production server and an development server. 

My question is: we set it up individual from each other. Is it possible to connect the production and test server with each other? 

What i would love to do is:

- Same published apps in the different environment.

- Same reload tasks in the different environment.

- Same conten library in the different environments

Can somebody tell me if something like this is possible?
