Upgrading Qlik Sense from June 2019 to Current (August 2023)

We would like to upgrade our current Qlik Sense Enterprise from the June 2019 (qliksenseserver: 13.32.1) to the latest August 2023 release.

If I’m reading the “Planning your Upgrade” page right and the example given, there are multiple upgrade steps we need to take:

1. Upgrade to the November 2020 release and latest patch for that
2. Make sure .Net 4.8 or higher and the Visual C++ 2019 Distribution package are installed on the server
3. Upgrade to February 2021 and latest patch
4. Upgrade the PostgreSQL db from 9.6 to 14.8 using the Qlik PostgreSQL installer
5. Finally upgrade to the August 2023 version with latest patch.

Are the above steps that we would need to take correct?  Or is there a better approach?

Hi,

Your upgrade plan is perfect, i personally follow step by step approach where I install every version eventually & land on the final version & I do take backups of QSR every time it is a time-consuming process but this helps me a lot & can jump to any version in past also if I have the need.
