Ability to store and render BLOB

Hello all,

BLOB stands for Binarly Large object. From Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binary_large_object )

A Binary Large OBject (BLOB) is a collection of binary data stored as a single entity. Blobs are typically images, audio or other multimedia objects, though sometimes binary executable code is stored as a blob. They can exist as persistent values inside some databases, or exist at runtime as program variables in some languages.

To sum it up, it could be a way to store picture (matricial or vector) and then render it. Useful !

Best regards,

Simon

The table,  custom tooltips and and the map chart background layer and point layer support images in a Data URI using Base64 or inline SVG. Not exactly BLOB but close enough.

Thanks,

Patric

Hello @Patric_Nordstrom

I tried the feature (to be honest, i just read what you do for the demo app). It's really great and something I didn't expect. I will probably need some time to implement it on real use case at work but that opens to new opportunities. And as far as I know, QS is the only product to propose it.

However, from what I understand, the force of this feature is to allow to work with a vectorial image but not with a blob (that could be a matricial image or even a pdf or a video). Am I wrong ?

Best regards,

Simon
