in the Qlik Sense April 2.020 recent update, you've added actions into the sheets, but I've realized that this option is only available when you open the sheet, so the actions are only available onOpenSheet, but not onLeaveSheet.
For example, I have a case when I want to filter a field in one sheet1, but clear the filter of the sheet1 in the rest of my sheets. If I could delete the selections on leave the sheet, it would be cleaner to do it.
@marcel_olmo we are a certified Trusted Extension Developer (TED) and have developed MENUBAR. And can do much more and included several action triggers (on selection, on load, on leave, etc.).
Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. While this is something we understand would be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.
Yes, that would be very useful feature. Maybe in addition to that, it would be possible to change onOpenSheet trigger? I think, actions should be executed first (before objects calculation). Currently when I have sheet with object that contains large data set, some actions are applied right away but objects are calculated at the same time and sometimes few actions are applied after the object is calculated and it calculates again with new selections. I think it's reasonable to first apply all actions and then calculate tables and charts.
I think it could be very useful having the functionality to trigger an action on leaving a sheet event as in Qlikview. Actually you can only trigger an action on activating a sheet event. I hope it's already in the roadmap. Have a nice day and take care. Best Regards. Andrea
Having the OnLeaving actions will be helpful indeed.
The other issue mentioned, where it is slow when multiple actions are created if definitely an issue. A list of just 5 actions can take quite a few seconds, with the dashboard refreshing over and over. It feels like a screen ghosting and is not a good feeling for the users. Would be nice if all actions are executed before refreshing the dashboard.
