Add a "latest period" option as modifier

Use case is stock reporting, where the values are non-additive and the relevant value is the latest (and maybe the one befpre that for comparison). It is currently doable with set analysis, but it requires us to create 1-2 more master measures, or stand-alone object measures.

Could be something like

Measure: Count(distinct ID)

Modifier: Latest

Dimension:  [Date dimension]

Order (how many periods back to look): N

With a solution liek this it would be really easy to create a KPI of the latest subscription stock with comparison to the period before by simply adding the same measure twice and changing the 'N' value.

Hi @simon20 , is this for general Qlik scripting? I have changed it to Qlik Sense and added the appropriate tags.

Hi,

I am mainly a Qlik Sense user and have limited experience of QlikView, so maybe it is only relevant for Qlik Sense 🙂

Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. While this is something we understand would be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.

The feature "Create calendar measures" is useful for comparison with previous period:

Thanks,
