Current Version of Attunity Replicate (6.6) does not let us enable and disable alerts & notifications during maintenance without having to restart the replication task to make the change into effect. Sometime stopping and starting takes an hour if we disable notification for maintenance and this defeats the purpose of almost real time replication.
What I am suggesting is: Please add a feature to enable/disable notification on the fly without having to restart the task.
You are right - In Replicate 6.6 the notifications settings will not take action before the services restart. The behavior was enhanced already: In higher Replicate versions eg 2021.11 you can disable/enable a notification freely WITHOUT services restart. The new settings take action immediate after you press the SAVE button.
BTW, Replicate 6.6 is expiring support about 2 months later, see Replicate Lifecycle , it's time to start the new versions acceptance test for your project and plan the migration.
We are currently in the process of moving all ideations to a new system. In an effort to make this migration easier, we are closing older ideations that did not see a lot of activity (likes/comments). If you are still interested in this enhancement, please open a new ideation so it repopulates as "new" in our system.
