Button : let actions by sequential OR simultanenous

Hello all,

When you have several actions on a button, Qlik Sense plays it simili-simultaneously (the actions are started sequentially but Qlik does not wait the end of one to start the next one). It can lead to big issue such as :
-Action 1 : make a selection on field A
-Action 2 : put the GetCountSelected(A) in a variable

Result : the variable is at 0 because the selection is not finished.

So, I would like Qlik to wait for Action 1 to be finished before beginning Action 2.

Of course, this can be an option (on button or an action).

Best regards,

Simon

Great idea! Had this thought while using the new "Trigger automation" button feature and "Lock Selections" together.

@Meghann_MacDonald  Hello. Does this exist on Qlik Sense windows server ? I'm afraid we're still a victim of Qlik preference for cloud. (Joke apart, there are a lot of features in Qlik Saas that should be implemented as well in QSEOW and the historical users are frustrated on that point)

Best regards,

Simon

Its the same problem on SaaS and QSEOW. The button update in SaaS allows us to "trigger automation" for App Automation, but what I was referring to is that I had a similar problem as you, where my automation would trigger faster than the selections would lock, which caused issues, and I'd like to be able to say, first lock my selections, THEN trigger automation. Definitely an idea that would apply to both products!
