I am going to agree with Bob. Without suspending activity on a source target, it is difficult to write your own, whereas Qlik Replicate would have the knowledge of existing data on both endpoints, as well as the changes that are in flight, so it could do a better job of performing an accurate compare. When we evaluated Qlik and a couple of competitors three years ago, we noticed a major competitor had this function, so it would be nice if you offered the same. We've done our best to make the Qlik Replication environment very trustworthy, but occasionally an end user will come across a difference between endpoints and let us know. A few of them have even resorted to writing their own validation code...and of course spreading the word internally that the data can't always be trusted. That is unfortunate as we feel it is extremely reliable and have worked hard to fix any issues and to promote the product internally. But having a compare functionality from the vendor would certainly help improve upon these findings - or discount them on a few cases where they were proven wrong.
