When you enable this feature across a chart with a large number of conditional show/hide properties the display in the object's property panel is less than helpful.
Can this be changed - show the hidden attribute as a simple check box in the panel, and allow the dimension name/measure name ( or labels ) to be visible.
Navigating through a big table chart is so frustrating and time consuming.
Agree - dealing with an example of this now. It's useful to me to know that the measure/dimension is not visible when I open the panel, but it's annoying to have to toggle each one open and closed to find the one I want. My preference would be to show the label for the item on top of the red background (instead of the generic calc condition message) and maybe include a 'not visible' icon (i.e., the eye with a slash through it) in front of the label. That would make it very clear that the calc condition is not met while still allowing the developer to know what it is that is disabled.
I agree with @millerhm suggestion, having to toggle each element would be a huge pain with many dimensions/measures.Also, another way to implement this could be to keep the dimension/measure button as is when not conditioned and just make it slightly clearer/add transparency. This way you avoid the pitfall of 'stealing' space for those cases where you have long labels.Riccardo
Both great suggestions ! Qlik R&D ?
Thank you for your feedback on ways to improve our product. While this is something we understand would be useful, it's not on the short-term roadmap. Please continue to show your support for this idea.
Yes, the message could be more subtle like the "eye" icon the container.
