Currently, we must to access a new qlik sense then create a Data Connection.
So, I guess that is very powerful and helpful the way to create directly on QMC a new Data Connection.
What´s the problem: whe a new server is installed, and they have some data connections, I just need to import the QVF then use the same data connection with the same name instead of open a data connection and change/saving with %username% extension.
It should be possible to create Data Connections in QMC. There is an API after all. Doing it in hub apps is not sustainable in a proper enterprise scale org. [Mcilwricka Luminary]
I second this suggestion. Especially for QAP installations, where you cannot easily create data connections in an app, as you cannot open the app.... [Vegard_bakke Partner]
Really need this as it requires the admin user to have/consume a professional license to create a data connection even though they never use apps. [Mauritz_SA Contributor III]
Is this feature added on the roadmap? [Tito New Contributor]
Thanks for the update. Is there any update on the progress though? Has it been evaluated? Since the qrs API already exists for it it seems like something that should be simple to add.

This is one of the weirder shortcomings in Sense. Not huge, but soo easily fixed...
This has been a source of frustration while managing our ~9k userbase. Admins have to create a dummy app just to create data connections for our users yet manage nearly everything else from the QMC. It doesn't make any (qlik) sense. In our environment data connections are locked down for users and only admins can create new data connections, so it's really frustrating that we can't create those from the QMC.
