RichTextFormat is a document format that allows text to be set in bold, italic, etc, etc.. This would be pretty cool if Qlik would allow such a representation : in some software,most of the data, especially description, comment, etc is in RTF.
As an example, the following RTF code
{\rtf1\ansi{\fonttbl\f0\fswiss Helvetica;}\f0\pard
This is some {\b bold} text.\par}
would be rendered as follows:
This is some bold text.
