Enterprise Manager - Option of a new Role (Permission in b/w Designer & Operator)

Hi,

One of our customers is interested in a new feature related to the roles and permissions available for Enterprise Manager.

They have a need where the data integration developer should be able to have permission to

  • Export a task.
  • Have Read-only access on Access Design view i.e., the user can view the Task settings, Global and Local transformations.
  • Have Read-only access on the server connection properties in Enterprise Manager.

The Operator and Designer roles do not fit the requirements for this type of user.

Thanks,

jijo_james

We have similar needs and also having the ability to import task with being an administrator, as currently only Administrators can import tasks which is not ideal for production environment when you have different teams managing their own change management process.

Hi Team,

We do have a similar Requirement.

Can we request to implement at minimum the below Point if the below point can be done, that would be helpful to view the Task Details in a read only fashion.

  • Have Read-only access on Access Design view i.e., the user can view the Task settings, Endpoint connection Details, List of Tables, Global and Local transformations.
