As it was suggested to me in this post, I wanted to propose the possibility to generate editable text in Powerpoint reports created with automations in Qlik Saas.
As I discovered, when we export a sheet with a text object into Powerpoint (through automations or subscriptions), the text objects becomes an image and so it's not possible to modify it from Powerpoint (see this post).
I believe having such feature would be really helpful for users (imagine when you want to leave a 'comment/notes' area in your presentation).
At this time I would consider only editable text objects, but let me know if you can see such feature also for other charts
Thanks for the suggestion. As mentioned in the referenced post, the objects on the sheet are exported as images to the PPT slide. This was done with your annotation use cases in mind to allow 1) use of native MS PPT features (e.g. text boxes, arrows, etc) as annotation based on the current set of data in the visualizations, or 2) use of a ppt design template which can be applied at time you open the ppt file to add preferred template / branding elements like a title bar if you couldn't accomplish the title within the sheet. Leaving this idea open to continue to solicit feedback on the topic.
I think we need a design template similar to what we have in nprinting, we would not like manual work to add ppt based editable text boxes every time we generate report from SAAS automation.
In our environment 95% of our static reports are powerpoint reports, we have been waiting for SaaS migration once we have powerpoint capability available in SaaS automation, closer to what we have got in nprinting today.
