The Google Analytics Web Connector is currently only compatible for the Google Universal Analytics (UA). GA4 is due to replace the current version of Google Analytics (Universal Analytics or UA) in June 2023. More and more customers are now migrating to GA4. The GA4 comes with a new API (Google Analytics Data API). It would be great if the web connector becomes compatible for this new API, or that a new web connector is created.

@Tavo  - thank you for your response. Just a heads up the actual end date depends on whether you have a free or paid '360' GA account:

• July 1, 2023, standard Universal Analytics properties will stop processing new hits
• 360 Universal Analytics properties will receive a one-time processing extension ending on July 1, 2024

However, we are still targeting to release the Google Analytics 4 connector early Q2. It would be helpful to understand any real use cases from customers looking for Google Analytics 4 support. For example, if you could provide us with dimensions/metrics you are using in the current Google Analytics connector as well as specific reports that you need in the new connector.

For anyone reading this thread - please feel free to direct message me with any specific requests as well.

We would like to make use of the Qlik connector for Google Analytics 4. Main goal is to link GA data with other data from internal systems.

Our customers consume the number of website users and the number of pageviews from Google Analytics via Qlik Sense. We are waiting for the GA4 connector to switch to GA4. Otherwise we will have serious problems with our customers. 

Such a connector is standard in other BI solutions like Power BI.

Thank you for your comments. Our R&D team is currently working on creating a new connector to support Google Analytics v4 API in Qlik Sense. We are setting up an Early Access Program to get this connector out to customers to test and provide feedback to consider moving forward.
