More Native Statistical Functions and Objects

More and more organizations becoming data literate organizations, and Qlik is actively promoting data literacy program.  This vision will be incomplete without sufficient number of native statistical functions and objects in our Qlik Sense products.

A good example of statistical object that we should have in our native Qlik Sense product will be this advanced analytics toolbox extension object.  Customers do not like the idea of using R / Python / TensorFlow SSE + extension object due to extra effort and money to enable and to maintain such function and object.  What customers want is native functions and objects in our Qlik Sense products.  I believe most of us are aware that because of lacking such feature customers might search an alternative software despite our powerful associative engine feature in Qlik Sense.

Thank you for the feedback, we are planning to add a number of new advanced function in the near future. Your idea is very wide in scope. It would be helpful if you could provide feedback on the specific functions you would like to see and the customer feedback about what is most important.

Thanks for considering the idea.  Most customers want to have below functions:

  • forecast based on seasonality and cyclicality
  • principal component analysis or factor analysis
  • association rule generator using apriori (it will complement our powerful associative engine)
  • multi-variate regression
  • clustering
  • bag of words generator and term-document matrix generator

This would be wonderful. I would also add:

- decomposing time series

- logistic regression
