Having support of OAuth authentication and authorization would make it easier to enable other applications to access QEM API in a secure manner.
Current method based on SAML imposes a lot of challenges when one is trying to automate API calls and switching back to Basic authentication model impacts SSO for end users.
It would be great to have support for OAuth or have an ability to separate the authentication models for the Web UI (users) and for API (systems).
Thank you for the suggestion. We will collect feedback from others and consider allowing for separate authentication methods for API and for Web UI in a future release.
