QDI Github

Hello to all,

I can't find a publication on QDI  about  to have an automated Integration with any repository like GitHub, Bitbucket,

We can post in QDI, but it's poor only a Zip file to the repository.

Thanks to think at this idea

Hi,

I am trying to find more information on the integration of Compose into a repository as Git Hub.

As we have seen, it is only make a "backup" of the zip file generated when a commit into compose is done.

Is it possible to have other possibilities on using the Git Hub with compose as manage json files etc.... ?

Thanks for your help on this subjects.

Hi,  as you've said -   Qlik Compose integrates with git compliant Version Control Systems by placing the artifact that is use for deployment - which is the json that represents the project metadata.

Since the metadata in Qlik Compose is tightly coupled between the data model, marts and ELT tasks, the entire project is deployed which gives you a consistent project version to deploy, or rollback to.

At this time there are no plans to adjust this behavior in Qlik Compose or provide different version control features .

However, we are considering additional features with version control systems for Qlik Cloud Data Integration and its data movement and transformation capabilities.
