Qlik Replicate/Enterprise Manager - Update API for tasks

enable tasks update through API. Currently this is not available through API. The only way to achieve this is through export tasks, apply changes and import it again. The drawback with this is, deletes has to be manually performed as it will not take effect and the original task will keep the exsiting details. Also, everytime you export a task and import again, you will loose the history and maintainability will suffer.
Internally, Replicate uses patch & update api calls to perform tasks updates thorugh replicate console. It help API users in much better way if this update task api is exposed for consumption.

Enbaling the update API will help build application around replicate and give its users flexibility to to add other tables, views for example and change other parameters to effectivley use the replicate.

Thank you for the good suggestion.  It is in our roadmap to provide more specific API for updating endpoints and tasks.  We will update you here on the progress.

Agreed...Your REST API was very forward-thinking, but it now needs to be fleshed out.

Getting- and Setting- endpoint properties is the next, necessary step.  It is currently impossible to even query the name of the target or source database, without exporting a complete, specific task.
