Qlik Replicate - enable to use Global Transformation on columns that contain special characters

Currently Qlik Replicate has limitation on Global Transformation:

  • Transformations cannot be performed on columns that contain special characters (e.g. #, \, /, -) in their name.

We have following issue:
-> We use SAP Application (DB) Source
-> Backend DB store SAP Date values as Varchar
-> We receive occasionally invalid date value from source system that is suspending the table

Intermediate fix  we applied:
-> we apply transformation on column that we identify as problematic that verify if it is valid date (if not we make it 1900-01-02)

Permanent Fix:
As we are growing number of sources, tables, etc. We would like to solve this problem on "Global Level"
-> Qlik PS came up with idea to apply Global Transformation on all Date column
-> Transformation will check if column with data type = Date is valid date or not
-> If not , transforming it to 1900-01-02

This works but only on columns that do not have in name "/" or "\".

If we can apply Global Transformation on columns with special character , we can get our issue resolved on Task level (more global then single column level) .
