Actually, we can't stop a reload task on the Qlik Cloud.

It's essential to have this feature because sometimes the task goes inside an unwanted loop or gets locked and it's not possible to stop or abort it.

The only way we can stop it is by deleting the app and publishing it again (this is very annoying and does not make any sense to do these steps in a production environment).

Yep this is a needed functionality. Interestingly, you can stop an App Automation from running but not a classic data reload...
