Hello @NikolayYelevich ,

Note sure what's the target endpoint type.

If it's a relational database then a VIEW in target side DB maybe  a workaround, the view will decouples the Replicate __ct table Header Columns name and your consumer Apps. Anyway, let's wait for PM Team final response.

Regards,

John.

We are not planning to change the headers as a feature request. Johns suggestion is a good one.

Thanks for your submission

Bob and John,

thank you for your respond.  Unfortunately using views in database will severe affect application performance...We are looking possibility to recognize "image before" and "image after" rows when we use change tables. Unfortunately only header columns (change_oper and operation) provide this info. When we are trying to add column to change table via TRANSFORM menu and use $AR_H_OPERATION - "image before" information is not present in this column.  Our application partners require us to have an particular name for "operation" column. Choice we have :

1. Rename header column which contain need info.

2.   Modify "$AR_H_OPERATION" header to provide information similar to change_oper or operation headers.

Please advice.

Regards

Hello @NikolayYelevich ,

If you use $AR_H_OPERATION in transformation then the result will present after image of the operation only. (you cannot get "B", or "BeforeImage").

Anyway I do not see how a view impacts performance. Can you explain more about that.

thanks,

John.

You can also specify a prefix to all the header columns. We use that.

Could you please provide us with details of a use case of why you would want to change the column names? Thank you!
