Support For Long Object Names Over 30 Bytes (Oracle Source)

Currently we have a limitation as below:

Long object names (over 30 bytes) are not supported.

From Oracle 12.2, a much longer object length is supported. A few customers are starting to have tables longer than 30 bytes in length, given the more flexible standard provided.

Hi there.  While we can not support this in all environments, we do have a solution to support Oracle object names longer than 30 characters for some.  Please reach out to Support, PS or CS for more details if you need them.  Thanks!

Hi Shelley, John,

In the internal support case, it is described that this requires OGG license. Can you please confirm if this is the case?

If we cannot obtain OGG license, does this mean QR cannot support this feature?

Thanks

Junior
