I would like to propose an enhancement to QEM to support add-ons to fetch credentials from external vaults.

This functionality is available in Replicate, however, QEM does not support it. QEM needs various credentials viz:

1. admin credentials to connect to Replicate and Compose server
2. Postgres DB creds for analytics module, i.e. Repository Connection
3. Mail server connection
4. QDC connection

QEM should allow users to configure addons to fetch these credentials from external password vaults such as CyberArk, Hashicorp Vault etc.

I agree, Replicate endpoints should have a facility to obtain the password from a "Vault" to enhance the security when passwords change.

This request is 2 years old. Is there anything in the works for this?
I strongly agree -- QEM nodes should be able to retrieve credentials from Cyberark when connecting to Replicate nodes.
