We are using ODBC with CDC source endpoint to connect to a postgres database that is a physical replica.

One of the data types of this source is jsonb datatype which has variant data. The odbc driver is interpreting the jsonb as varchar(255) and truncating the data. No matter we increase the LOB size or data type length in qlik or target endpoint, the data is getting truncated with malformed json written to target snowflake endpoint.

Gerald Umoru who is helping us with the qlik case 00062911 suggested that jsonb datatype is not supported for ODBC driver endpoint and that a new enhancement may be requested.

I got solution for this issue:

personally I do not think FR is needed.
