Integrating this enhancement (rename column) will allow customers using db2 luw as source to fully support all db2 DDL manipulations.
All customers using db2 luw as source could take benefit from this enhancement.
In a complex ddl changes scenario when 'rename' statements are peformed , this will allow replicate to continue without unavailability of certain tables.
This will avoid also dropping /creating those tables and will reduce the unavailablity of the data on target.

With the alter statement rename supported ,no more workaround ..
