We needs the limit of search values on a filter to be increased to 50,000 characters

Hi,

In Qlik Sense September 2019, the limit of search values on a filter pane has been increased to 5,000 characters, allowing more values to be selected in bulk.

For our customer ORANGE, we needs the limit of search values on a filter to be increased to 50,000 characters ; other solution : to define the limit with a parameter in the QMC.

Without this possibilitie, ORANGE refuse to use QLIK SENSE and it means we would lose this project.

FYI : We used QLIK SENSE SEPT. 2020.

Thanks,

Christophe ROUSSELLE (METAMICRO)

Maybe as a short term workaround you could :

  • Provide a file pickup point ( e.g. SharePoint for client-managed, Dropbox for SaaS )
  • Allow user to initiate a reload ( NB Feb release has merge script command )
  • The script tags each record from the file with a flag value, and you provide some ready to use filter panes for a series of flags ?
  • Enhance the script to also load metadata like a date or other value

Thank you for the feedback, We will investigate the feasibility of doing this and consider it for the roadmap if we get further feedback.
