ActiveMQ authentication required

I have a requirement to pass a password and username to an ActiveMQ queue. I can connect ok if authentication is not set but don't know how to pass the password and username if it is set. Without this facility I'm unable to use Talend for message processing.
I also need acces to the JMS message header as I need to retrieve correlation IDs

has there been a resolution to this issue? looking to pass user+password credentials to activemq connection factory from talend studio.
