Why I see Component Designer (Depreciated)?
If I need to create custom component then what do I need to do?
Depreciated means is it going to go away soon? in that case is there going to be new replacement to design new components?
Basically I have joblet for contextload that I want to create as custom components. what is the best & easy way to do that?
Yes. component designer is deprecated as per the release notes for 6.4/Summer 2017 Release. See https://help.talend.com/reader/uCysbjfyKZbxWfRj_OAB4w/iWkjCqiEcUwyIA9sshQxLg
It is still being used as many Talend components have been built using the Javajet framework.
Talend is working towards a new component framework https://github.com/Talend/components/wiki. It is still in early phases and we will see more out of this new SDK/Framework in 2018. New components and updated components in Talend are being built using this new framework.
Thanks TRF, the main question 'Is Component Designer being depreciated? I dint really find any answer on it yet.
