Connection Failure for MS SQL Server 2012

Hi Guys,
I need help on how to create data connection for MS SQL Server 2012.
Do I need to use Open Source JTDS or Microsoft as DB version?
I'm having a connection failure and it says because of "failed login for user" but those credentials are properly working when I try to access the tables in SQL Server Management Studio.

Hi,
Could you please give us more information about your  connection failure   "failed login for user"? On which build version you got this issue?
Have you already checked document about:TalendHelpCenteretting up a database connection?
