Execute a job with context variable outside of Talend (not from TAC)

My user has a requirement to be able to execute a job along with a context variable outside of Talend.

What are my design options? Maybe create a simple Web service for the user to execute the job? And if so, what would be the general steps/design?

Any design suggestion that satisfies the requirement would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, we only have one JAVA programmer and he is tied up at this time. He has suggested technologies like Java Swing and Java MVC. I have a little java experience and would prefer to develop the web service/GUI on my own. I am more than willing to learn new technologies, but need to be pointed in the right direction.

I would opt for Java MVC then if you can get some help. To call the job from a Java application, you can follow this tutorial....
