Hello!
I have a input table (Table 1) which has project_nr, period, year, project_name etc. The question is, I have to replace the project name with the newest name for all months for that project in Table 2. For example:
| INPUT_TABLE (TABLE 1) | |||
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | ABC |
Output table: (Expected)
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | ABC |
Now in february 2019, the name changes for project 301-19,
Input Table1:
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | ABC |
| 301-19 | 2 | 2019 | ABC_D |
Expected output for Table2:
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | ABC_D |
| 301-19 | 2 | 2019 | ABC_D |
Now there is a change in the name again in march 2019,
Input Table1:
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | ABC |
| 301-19 | 2 | 2019 | ABC_D |
| 301-19 | 3 | 2019 | DEF |
Expected output for Table 2:
| Project number | Period | Year | Project_Name |
| 301-19 | 1 | 2019 | DEF |
| 301-19 | 2 | 2019 | DEF |
| 301-19 | 3 | 2019 | DEF |
I am not able to get the exact code for string comparison. How can I solve this issue?
Regards
PV
