Sabrina,

I have unzipped the Zulu JDK version 8 onto a local directory here. It doesn't look like it's showing as an installed program on here. I also previously removed the JDK version 11 prior to doing this work.

This is the data that comes up when checking the Java version on the command prompt.

I'm not sure if there's anything special you'd have to do to install JDK version 8 from Zulu aside from unzipping the files.

Just to note,

I also tried to unzip the Talend install package again using 7-Zip.

I'm still getting a similar error message box upon launching the program. Is there an Installation Guide just for Talend Open Studio for Data Integration for Windows?

Hello @JMMurty9

Are you installing a 64-bit JDK to run your 64-bit Studio?

Best regards

I have made some reconfigurations using the installation guide as an assistant. I have not had success opening the TOS Data Integration program yet. I have included screenshots of my path to the JDK program as the path for the Environment variable as well as I could follow it.

Hello,

What's your configuration for the JRE in Talend Studio V 7.1? Please go to studio -> Window -> Preferences -> Java -> Installed JREs

Best regards

Sabrina,

That's the thing! I can't even get to that preferences screen. All that shows up is the error message from my initial post on this chain. I was also wondering if I have the correct JAVA_HOME Environment Variables path set up as per the installation guide and the screenshot from my previous post.

Current JAVA_HOME path: C:\Windows\Preferences\zulu8.36.0.1-ca-jdk8.0.202-win_x64;%JAVA_HOME%\bin

C:\Windows\Preferences is where I have the Zulu JDK version 8 installed locally here.

Hello,

Could you please install your zulu under C:\Program Files\Zulu and then name the variable JAVA_HOME, enter the path to your Java environment, and click OK?

Best regards

Sabrina,

I had to unzip it (using 7-Zip) to it's own folder in C:\. I continued to come up with an error extracting it to within the Program Files subfolder. After unzipping the Java v8 and adding that path to environment variables, I ended up with the same error upon trying to launch TOS data intergration again.
