Add Authentication Link

Hi all,

My licence is still active, but I have difficult to enter on the Qlik Sense Dektop.

Everytime that I try to enter appears the screen Welcome to Qlik Sense Desktop, and the button to "Add authentication link".

I click on "Add Authentication Link", then it goes to a second screen to Add Authentication Link.

I click on the link and it goes to the video below, but doesn't help me. Does anyone know what to do ?SCREEN 1SCREEN 2

Hi, the system administrator can generate the authentication link in the qmc. There are other options. this post explains them all: https://community.qlik.com/t5/Knowledge/Configuring-Qlik-Sense-Desktop-authentication-link/ta-p/1715...

Thank you @rubenmarin and @Rakesh_HB ! Those seems really good tips, but in my case it didn't help. 

I don't know why, but it does not show the option to authenticate.

Are you using Qlik Cloud or Qlik Sense client-managed?

Hi @wcamargo 

as i guess you are using a client managed (on premise) qlik sense server on windows

so, the first step is to get the authentication link from your admin

the most important part is to be sure that you are using the same version for the desktop and that you are trying to authenticate against a production server.

Qlik Sense Desktop will not authenticate agains a Test Server and I think that for Dev servers either.

you will need to check the LEF for the server you are trying to connect to and not to hace any of the following options

SPECIAL_EDITION;DEVELOPMENT;; or SPECIAL_EDITION;DEVELOPMENT;;

Hi all,

I don't know why, but when I used to go to my profile configuration on Qlik Cloud, there was on option of "Space" and "Notifications". Today I tried again and there was 2 more options, on "Magagement" and "Others".

I just downloded the new Qlik Sense Desktop and Authenticated it.

Yesteday there wasn't these options, but today it appeared. Very strange! In any way, I recommend people to try again later or on the other day! Never give up!

Yes, I knew it was Qlik Sense Desktop, I meant if you were linking it to Qlik Cloud or to Qlik Sense client-managed to be able to provide you insights on how to proceed. I am glad is now solved 🙂
