Is it possible to rename field/column values of a table after loading the data from database?

I would like to rename some field/column values (not column names). 

For instance: 

column: fuel

values: diesel, petrol, natural gas,...

rename value: diesel, gaosline,....

this should take place in under diagrammes tables

I have found out that Qlik offers the possibility to edit the table under data manager to add new field or to edit existing field to group some values to a particular value for all others.
