Qlik Sense date range

Hello All.  I hope someone can help me.  I'm fairly new to Qlik Sense.  I deal with school years which span 2 years and partial months.  I'm wondering if there is any way to set up a date range selector.    Selecting a month can be misleading when dealing with school years.

Thanks

Celia

I found this from Mike Tarallo when I was looking for solutions to my problem:

OK - so by default without any extensions, you can simply use 1 list filter for your date field, such as I have attached in this example. (see .qvf file) copy to your C:\Users\<user profile>\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps and refresh the Qlik Sense Desktop hub by pressing F5.

You can then use the search input box and type in the date text like this:

>=1/6/2015<=1/10/2015

This will give you all dates from 1/6 to 1/10

This works on Qlik Sense desktop, but when I tried it in my Qlik Sense Cloud application it did not.   Is this as it should be??

I was wrong in the last post, >=1/6/2015<=1/10/2015 does work in Qlik Sense Cloud.  Below in yellow also is working.

(>=08/20/2014<=06/20/2015)

and (>=08/20/2015<=06/20/2016)
